VOID

Interactive Installation

2020

Void is an interactive installation that uses projection mapping and 3D illusion to explore the perception of space. Through six interconnected chapters, it reimagines the origins, transformations, and dissolution of spatial experience. Viewers engage with the piece by using their hands to manipulate a miniature universe—shaping, distorting, and dismantling space from a god-like perspective.

Prologue
The journey begins with a familiar image: a simple room. From emptiness, the room gradually takes form, introducing the idea of “space” as something constructed.

Chapter 1 — Shell
The outer shell of space is revealed. With gesture-based interaction, viewers peel away its layers, exposing the hidden world within.

Chapter 2 — Light and Shadow
Light and shadow define our ability to perceive depth. Here, hand movements control the angle of illumination, altering how space unfolds and how shadow patterns animate its surfaces.

Chapter 3 — Lines and Surfaces
From the most basic elements—lines and planes—viewers guide the emergence of a three-dimensional environment, constructing space in real time.

Chapter 4 — Cubes
Through interaction, the cube—a fundamental spatial form—bends, shifts, and distorts. This manipulation emphasizes the fragile yet dynamic relationship between structure and space.

Epilogue
The journey concludes where it began. The room dissolves, collapsing back into void. From nothingness it emerged, and to nothingness it returns.
